A Funny Night for Comedy with Natasha Muse
Sunday, February 10th, 7pm, The Actor’s Theatre

(via Mike Spiegelman | SF Sketchfest)

A Funny Night for Comedy is a live action late-night talk show featuring Natasha Muse (“Best Tranny Comedian,” SF Weekly) and sidekick Ryan Cronin. Every second Sunday of the month they (along with house band Mike Spiegelman and the Euphonic Cacophony, Sign Master Brian Fields, and Kirsten the Stage Manager) welcome the brightest up-and-coming comedians of the Bay Area (and beyond) in a warmly weird evening filled with stand-up, sketch, and improv. It’s the only show in San Francisco (possibly the world) where the price of admission includes delectable homemade fried chicken as well as a slice of delicious lemon cake because we don’t just want to make you laugh, we want to make you happy.

Celebrity impersonator Mike Spiegelman (playing himself) can’t get a break, until Sir Michael Caine (celebrity impersonator Colin Mahan) joins him onstage and teaches him acting. In the end, Spiegelman discovers it’s ok to be himself and Colin discovers it’s better to remain someone else.

“Grocery Outlet?” More like “Grocery Paycheck,” am I right?
When Grocery Outlet opens, I’m going to rock out with my Groc Out.
I buy all my groceries at outlet stores, I don’t want to make my jeans and shoes jealous.
Hopefully they will stack alcohol like the last supermarket, because this happened there once:
Also, Delano’s always played ‘50’s music. I hope GrocOut will get with the times and play music from the ‘70’s.

A Funny Night for Comedy

2nd Sundays at 7 p.m.

Actors Theatre of San Francisco - 855 Bush (at Taylor)

$10, with occasional deals for fans of the Facebook page

This monthly show is a fun, live take on the familiar late-night talk show format. Producer Natasha Muse and her co-host Ryan Cronin invite some of the best comics in the area to perform a short set plus an interview. The show begins with Natasha’s opening monologue and is filled out with the musical stylings of the Mike Spiegelman Cacophonous Euphoria Band and surprises from Kelly the Stage Manager and Sign Master Brian Fields.

Sans Soleil (1983): Eddy and Gough (by LuggageTuesdays).

From the 1983 travelogue, directed by Chris Marker. Narrator totally misprounces two San Francisco street names. It’s pronounced “Ed-dee” and “Gough (Rhymes with Cough)”
